- Continuously inspect and monitor plant and identify defects and potential problems
- Assess mineral content of ore according to separation parameters
- Make appropriate adjustments to separation process
- Adjust equipment to agreed parameters
- Control feed to separation equipment
- Carry out operator level maintenance to maintain condition of equipment
- Complete all required documentation concisely and on time
- Pass on end of shift information to oncoming shift
- Shutdown in sequence and/or isolate equipment
- Conduct housekeeping activities
